Before I start, I'd like to thank Blue Oyster Cult for providing me with the clever pun title.

On  with the Rapture.

You must know by now what I'm talking about-  the Mayan prediciton that the world will end on Dec. 21st 2012.  If you don't know, I'm sure you'll find out sooner or later.  I'm sure things are going to get  crazier and crazier the closer we get to that date because when it comes to fear, people cling to it for dear life.  I don't know why people like fear so much- I really can't figure that one out.  Maybe it's because they feel like if they absorb fear they  will be able to handle the harder parts of life because they will be ready for them.  Seems kinda silly to me to spend your time preparing yourself for tragedy when you could be embracing love and life and laughter.  And really, no matter how well prepared you think you are for sadness, heartache and pain, it still knocks you off your feet and it always will.  The real tragedy is avoiding love along the way.

But, imagine this:  Imagine a life so beautiful and easy and loving and giving and fun and free.  A life like that for everyone on earth.  A life where fear ceases to exist and human beings embrace goodness and peace and love. Suddenly I sound like John Lennon.  But really, this is what I think the rapture is about.  I believe the Mayans are correct in predicting the end.  But it's not the end of time, it is the end of an era- the degenerate era.  And it's the dawning of a new era- the age of enlightenment.  Oh!  Yes, the end is coming and it's going to be beautiful!  I swear, I can already feel it and the more people who feel it the larger it's going to get.

So, don't fear the Rapture because it's not going to happen.  Our universe is a magnificent, loving thing that wants and needs to expand.  When love fights fear, it always wins because it's real.  Fear is in the imagination.

I can't wait for the end.
